Often I work with someone and ask them to recommend me to a friend or someone they know that may have an interest in pictures. And they usually will, but then scheduling with the next person often goes on for weeks without a shoot ever happening.
To off set that, the person that is interested in a shoot can get free prints, by not only recommending me, but by having other people shoot at the same time. It sounds confusing in theory, but I will try my best to clarify.
Using "fake family names" (Jones, Smith, Williams, Grant, Johnson, Watson)
So the Jones family decides they want to host a party so that they can receive free prints. The Jones' will host a party in their home and invite the other 5 families. The Jones' will provide entertainment and snacks during the party, like a normal party, but during that time, each family will rotate out taking pictures with the photographer until all 6 families have had their shoot.
Times when this may be useful to a client:
Friends and Family
Childrens' Playdates
Owners and Pets
Costume Parties
Couples Gathering
Pregnant Mothers Meeting
Girls-Night-In
There are a few guidelines:
Host* receives free 4 prints of choice (Up to print size 8x10)
Guest pay only $20.00 each (min 5 guest - Guest can be an individual person or family unit, pets included)
Website for guest to purchase prints
Host must provide a space large enough for background
The pricing and guidelines for individual/family portraits are different, but there is no extra charge to shoot in your home.
So if this is something you are interested in trying out, make sure you contact me.
